FAU and Max Planck Florida Institute to Launch Collaborative M.D./Ph.D. Dual-degree Neuroscience Program
JUPITER, Fla. (Oct. 3, 2022) – Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience (MPFI) will announce its new M.D./Ph.D. dual-degree program with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m., at MPFI, 1 Max Planck Way, second floor atrium, in Jupiter.
The new M.D./Ph.D. dual-degree program will increase educational opportunities for students interested in cutting-edge research while incorporating those developments into innovative treatment plans.With the addition of this academic program, FAU-Max Planck Joint Programs offers academic and research opportunities from the high school, undergraduate, graduate, Ph.D. – and now – M.D. levels. FAU President John Kelly; David Fitzpatrick, Ph.D., MPFI scientific director and CEO; Julie Pilitsis, M.D., Ph.D., dean of the Schmidt College of Medicine, and other representatives from collaborating agencies will be available for interviews.
