Call For ‘The Love Of Art” Themed Student Entries For 2021 Artigras Youth Art Competition

The 2021 ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival, presented by Hanley Foundation and produced by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce, has a call for student art for the ArtiGras Youth Art Competition which this year will carry the theme “The Love of Art.” The theme will encompass a student’s representation of art, what they love about art, or what art form they love best. All submissions need to incorporate the theme in some way, but the interpretation is completely up to the student.

Students in grades kindergarten through 12th are encouraged to submit their artwork for the ArtiGras Youth Art Competition in mediums ranging from pencil and crayon to chalk and paint. For many students in Palm Beach County, ArtiGras is more than a fabulous art festival to attend during Presidents’ Day weekend, it is an opportunity to share their works of art and showcase their skill and talent in the ArtiGras Youth Art Competition.

The artwork will be judged by local artists and art educators who will have the daunting task of narrowing down the hundreds of entries to only 77 finalists then selecting a first, second and third place winner along with two honorable mentions for each school grade. The winners will be announced on the first day of ArtiGras. All finalists will have their works of art on display throughout ArtiGras in the Youth Art Gallery located in the ArtiKids Zone.

Students can submit their artwork through their school’s art teacher up until the deadline on Friday, January 15, 2021. Students and teachers can email info@artigras.org, call (561) 746-7111 or visit www.artigras.org for more information.

ArtiGras, which is scheduled for February 13-14, 2021, is listed as a Top 10 festival in the country and features more than 280 artists from across the country.
